Northland Meals on Wheels needs volunteer drivers to deliver meals. For over 39 years many clients have been helped by receiving meals which enable them to live for as long as possible in the comfort of their own homes. Call today at 816-691-5322 to volunteer.

City of Liberty Meals on Wheels also needs volunteer drivers.
Call for more information: 816-439-4398.

Receiving hot nutritious noon-time meals allows clients to remain living in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.  Volunteers report feeling they get back so much more then they give.

Northland Shepherd's Center has many volunteer positions to fit your lifestyle. Especially needed at this time are transportation drivers to take seniors to medical and financial appointments. Also needed are Volunteer Care Coordinators for its Care Coordination Program that provides assistance to older adults needing help with medical appointments and pharmacy visits. Volunteers must have your own transportation, are willing to give 2-3 hours per week, and make a 1-year commitment. Please contact Brenda Dunn, Volunteer Coordinator, at 816-452-4536 for these opportunities and many others.

Ready to help save lives?  Community Blood Center is looking for volunteers to help at our mobile blood drives by distributing good will, snacks and observe donors for negative reactions.  If you have a big heart, flexible schedule, and enjoy meeting new people, contact Volunteer Services at (816) 968-4079 or visit www.savealifenow.org to apply today!

Hospice volunteers make a huge difference in someone’s life by simply being present. They provide support and companionship to patients and families in their homes and long term care facilities. As a volunteer, you can provide caregivers a short break and spend time with a patient playing cards, visiting, reading aloud or sharing your well-behaved 4 legged friend. Veteran volunteers play a significant role by visiting Veteran patients. Hospice volunteering can be a meaningful and life-changing opportunity for anyone.
